Up for sale today is this CITY ROUTE sign. the perfect complement to a route shield, of which I have many. the design is as specified in the 1948 federal Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. these banners continue their use to the present day, albeit in larger size to correspond to larger route shields. this 16 1/2 by 8 banner corresponds to the 16 inch or so route markers that were used into the 1970s.Each arrow sign is printed on heavy steel - 16 1/2 by 8 inches, and two pounds or so. other directional signs may be found in my other listings, and also one may find arrow signs as well, to complete your sign assembly. These are high quality, heavy steel signs. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality.
