This cabinet photograph taken at the Lone Star Gallery depicts a man believed to be Pat Garrett, who is famous/notorious for killing Billy the Kid. It's possible that the young man standing next to him is Billy himself. While there is no provenance for this photo and I cannot guarantee the identifications, it is evident that the resemblances to the comparison photos are uncanny. I've also posted a comparison photo of Garrett standing. He was said to be 6'5", very uncommon in that era and lends further credence to the subject in this photo being Garrett. Also note that he is holding a cigar in this photo and the comparison. But more importantly, he comes up as a positive match to a very high percentile using two different face-matching programs and two different comparison photos of Garrett. The other gentleman has similar facial features and a comparable stance to the only confirmed photo of Billy. The item is sold as-is, and may have scratches, bends, tears, soiling, discoloration, trimming or other damage, so please take a close look at the pictures. There are pencil marks on the reverse.
