Native American Plummet style, Charmstone made of very dense, heavy black agate or black granite(Diorite) that has been ground and polished to an almost polished mirror/glass finish..SIZE 3&3/4 inches X 1&1/2 inches.An authentically ancient, museum grade relic. The age is some where between 200 years to 11,000 years ago. The ages of first use of plummet charmstones in America appears to date back to the oldest known humans in America. They're found across America, this one matches material and shape with those from the Ohia,Upper midweat Area. The area of America where they're found in highest concentrations is in the areas around the shorelines of Pleistocene Tulare Lake, CA. The Lake Mojave style of "arrowheads" are common there and recently dated as old as the Clovis Culture. There is good reason to believe they may date back that far.
