One of the most spectacular of designs!~ This wonderful curtain is French and dates 1870. This curtain is part of a large set ( please see my other textiles for the matching panels) This panel is made using a GORGEOUS medium to heavy weight cotton and linen blend fabric. The true red ground is roller printed and design is hand block printed in gray ~ this design is breathtaking , even more beautiful in person ~*~The edges are trimmed with a lovely, thin , simple trim ~ This set was from an enormous bedding collection, and the back of this panel has little hooks for hanging from a 4 poster bed. A rare and amazing find, one of my favorites!~ This textile would be stunning kept intact, however it would also be ideal for deconstruction and the fabric used for multiple projects such as upholstery , pillows, curtains, bedding etc !~

MEASUREMENTS: This wonderful panel measures approximately 182 inches WIDE at the bottom by 96.5 inches long. The top where it is gathered measures 126.5 inches wide ~*~

CONDITION : This fabric is in original, unwashed as found condition with light storage dust. This curtain is in wonderful condition for it\'s age and use!! There are some faded areas ( please use the zoom feature to view condition ) but generally it\'s just amazing !~ Very rarely have I ever found a set in such a wonderful state of preservation. Not perfect, but perfectly wonderful with light signs of time and use often inherent in these wonderful antiques! ~*~
