This GORGEOUS cotton 1870's / 1880's birds in flight quilt is all hand pieced and hand quilted, with 3,200 triangle pieces.It measures 82" X 82" and is in mint, never washed condition, with the occasional small, faint spot and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall.
There are grid and feathered (in the border) designs quilted throughout at an even 8 stitches to the inch.
The back and hand stitched, rolled binding are the same early red and white print, and the batting is thin.
The pics just don't do justice to this WELL EXECUTED 19th century COLLECTOR'S QUILT in GREAT CONDITION -- it's even more impressive in real life!
