From the Sept., 2011 issue of Playboy, this original art features a hand-colored Xerox of the original pencil sketch which measures approximately 7 by 9 inches. This is part of Sneyd's process in creating the final cartoon as it will ultimately appear in the magazine, to make a Xerox copy of the pencil sketch and then color it by hand. Notice the jewelry box is Tiffany Blue - a nice addition to this beautiful piece. Also included with the listing is a copy of the finished cartoon as it ultimately appeared in Playboy. Condition is excellent.

About Doug Sneyd:

Doug Sneyd began his career incommercial illustration before going freelance to work for a variety of book and magazine publishers. He also illustrated single-panel cartoons for theToronto Star, Canada's largest circulation newspaper (cartoons that were eventually syndicated throughout North America). In 1964, he began working for Playboyand hisgag strips have appeared in the magazine ever since. Throughout his career, he has contributed over 500 cartoons in all and became a favorite artist of Playboy readers.
