Dunhill Bruyere Canadian ES Patent # pipe from 1953 . Patent number with a small underlined 3. ES Grp. 4 circled SP

The Bruyere was the first finish presented from Dunhill at there founding . With the Shell Briar (1918) and Root Briar (1931) to follow .

This fine olde Bruyere is from 1953 , now a mere 71 years ago . It’s a testament to the sustaining power and quality of Dunhill products through the ages.

The Korean War armistice .

Marilyn Monroe and the Corvette make their debuts in America .

Dunhills of the 1950’s and 1960’s are outstanding in both performance, and value for the dollar . These decades are something of a sweet spot for enthusiasts.

Condition : pipe is very good given it’s 70 plus years of age .

It retains its original stain and has developed a beautiful patina showing it’s age.

The nomenclature stampings are good .

The tobacco chamber is sound with lite carbon and No charring spots .

The pipe bowl rim shows some slight scorching or out of roundness where the rim and tobacco chamber meet . Tobacco chamber below the rim is round and appears to be in original dimension.

The stem is shiny and black .

The stem at the button ; shows only a trace of a tooth wave,and or oxidation that is slight .

The pipe has been professionally cleaned , sanitized and polished .
