Fresh to the market is this fabulous late19th century Louis XV style figural billiard corner ball catcher in the form of a child\'s hand.
French original.
Appears to be made of bronze. Inner mechanism appears to be lead.
Measures 8 inches tall, 5 1/4 inches wide, and nearly 4 inches deep.
Great to excellent original condition -- wear and patina are consistent with age and use.
The cup is fastened to the child\'s palm with a peg -- it appears to be loose.
Would make an important addition to any collection of antique French decorative art.
