Antique covered dish tureen for vegetables and side dishes made between 1840-1867 by Joseph Clementson (active 1839-67) in the CHUSAN oriental pattern with heavy flow blue. 2 chips on the underside of the pedestal footed bowl as shown in the photos. Made of ironstone inStaffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, England. Joseph Clementson pottery became Clementson Bros when Joseph turned the business over to his 4 sons and son-in-law in 1867. Joseph Clementson was originally partnered with Jonah Read as the Phoenix Works ending in 1839.
