This a good example of a 19th C., M. Crannell double Iron sash plane. The name M. Crannell is on the toe. This plane measures approx., 9-3/8\" L x 2-1/4\" W. The plane has wear, stains, scars & hairlines from age and use. Wedges are nicely made and original. The skewed cutter measures 6-1/2\"x 5/8\". The second cutter measures: 6-7/8\" & 5/8\". Cutters have a lot of rust and are pitted, but would clean up nicely. I always suggest a good sharpening to get it back to optimal use.Plane has a great feel and patina...Photos are representative of item offered, please review photos and written descriptions carefullyThis is a really great looking example of a 19th century sash plane..
