French Art Deco Silverplated Champagne Bucket:

A very interesting French Art Deco champagne bucket or wine cooler. Contains a sleeve for the champagne or white wine bottle to cool it without getting it wet! It works...I\'ve used it many times over the years. There are numerous dents and the copper shows through on many of the raised areas and one larger area on one side (pictured). Engraved in both sides on the reserve KUMMER DORE A LA FINE CHAMPAGNE E. CUSENIER & CO. COGNAC. Marked on the bottom with 2 and 8 in rectangular punches and a rectangular punch with oval containing C and B with a shining sun(?) or perhaps flower in between. I have not been able to identify the mark. There is also VII overlapping the punch marks. Approximately 9\" high and 8\" handle to handle. Fits white wine bottles but not red wine bottles in my experience.
