This is a very are to find Sealed in bottle with full labelingattached, unfortunatelyno boxIn the pics, you will notice I have it against 2 larger size bottles which will be up for sale soon.The sumptuous flacon for Un Air Embaume is very distinct and made up of clear and frosted glass, the sides are molded with sensuous nudes rising in smoke from perfume burners, the bottle was then decorated with applied sienna colored patina. The bottle was advertised as being manufactured by Lalique, but there is no existing reference to this being made by Lalique in any of the Lalique literature. The bottle was actually produced in the Bresle valley in France by the Darras Glassworkslocated at Blangy-sur- Bresle (Seine-Inférieure).
Founded in 1892, by Henri Scobart, the Blangy sur Bresle glassworks was then directed by Camille Darras, its factory producing bottles for drugstores, perfumeries, distilleries, and pharmacies, the productions were first manual, then mechanical, and semi-automatic. In 1902, Henri Scobart left his partner Camille Darras alone in charge of the Blangy glassworks to operate the new glassworks and the original glassworks at Le Tréport. The Scobart glass factory was taken over by Camille Darras in 1925, it then specialized in the manufacture of bottles, particularly for perfume. The Camille Darras glassworks in Blangy closed in 1968.
