The time has finally come for me to part ways with my beloved Good Wear Leather Rough Wear W535-AC-18091 A-2 flight jacket. It is tagged size 42 and fits nearly the same (perhaps a roomy 40?). Measurements and condition as pictured.

This jacket fit me perfectly when I was around 175 lbs. I’m more now, thus hence the sale lol. I’m 5’11” for reference. Should work well for someone 5’8” to 5’11” (maybe 6’ but don’t quote me), 160-180 lbs.

This pattern is very comfortable unlike a lot of contracts (eg Monarch, Bronco).

The jacket is made from French russet goatskin, if I recall correctly it’s veg tanned and chrome re-tanned, giving it a very stout yet pliable hand. It also features a vintage Talon zipper and NOs United Carr ball snaps for an added touch of class 😎

This is about as close to a true vintage Rough Wear as you are going to find.

Description of the contract from JC’s site:

This Type A-2 jacket is based on a Rough Wear (history), of their W535-ac-18091 goatskin contract, which dates to 1941. The contract appears to have been rather large, as many of these can be found through different venues. Rough Wear had a beautiful pattern, and our 18091 pattern is based on two originals. We were able to take apart one of them and trace the pieces, to ensure that every nuance of how the 18091s were built could be copied, from the shape of each part to how the edges are cut and folded.
