Up for sale is a very rare set of first generation #8 griswold Skillet. The skillet has been stripped and seasoned multiple times. The cooking surface is really nice with one tiny pit mark as seen in the photos. Some marks and blemishes as expected with a nearly 100 year old piece. Slight wobble, doesn’t spin on granite counter. Check out photos and ask any questions. As this is has been only seasoned a few times and not used to cook the color is closer to dark brown than black. Photos taken in daylight to show any discoloration.
This item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis . This process ensures the removal of all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. The item is lightly seasoned with 4 rounds of crisco at 450 for 1 hour. Photos are part of the item’s description. Please use them for a clearer understanding of items’ overall condition.
