This is an impressive vintage Hopi silver buckle. If Grumpy is your favorite of the 7 Dwarfs, we’ve got you covered! Using the unique overlay technique, this large convex buckle truly has several extraordinary attributes and characteristics! Above Grumpy are the beautiful geometric rug designs and the cool “man in the maze”! And then to each side are the dancing kokopelli within the bear cla! Fabulous! The Hopi, also known as the Hopi Tribe, are a Native American people who primarily live in northeastern Arizona, in the southwestern United States. They are one of the indigenous tribes of the Four Corners region, which is the intersection of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado. The name "Hopi" is derived from their own word, "Hopituh Shi-nu-mu," which means "The Peaceful People" or "Peaceful Little Ones." The Hopi have a rich cultural and spiritual heritage, and they are known for their deeply rooted traditions and ceremonies. Central to their beliefs is the concept of maintaining harmony and balance with nature and the universe.
