Henry Harley ''Hap'' Arnold [1886 1950] was an American general officer holding the ranks of General of the Army and later General of the Air Force. He was an aviation pioneer who was instructed to fly by the Wright Brothers in 1911 and is recognized as one of the first 24 rated military pilots in the United States military. During the 1920's and 30's he was a proponent of the advancement of military aviation and was appointed Chief of the Air Corps in 1938. During World War II he directed aerial combat policy in both theatres of war and in December of 1944, he was promoted to the rank of General of the Army, a rank which has been held by only five others. Listed for sale is the autograph of general Henry Harley ''Hap'' Arnold signed on a card. The autograph is signed ''Cordially H.H. Arnold'' in blue fountain pen, the card measures 5.00 x 3.00 inches, it has trivial toning otherwise it is in fine condition. The autograph is authentic, ideal for display and is a nice example of this prominent United States Air Force commander.
