AKA “The Motherlode” or the “queen of the southern mines” and home of the Harvard Mine which produced the largest crystalline gold nugget ever found at a whopping 44 pounds. In addition to the nugget, the mine often produced 12 or more ounces of Gold per every 1 ton of material processed, which are staggering numbers.
