German Captured French / Egyptian M1870 Remington Rolling Block Rifle Bayonet:

The bayonet measures 27 1/4” overall with a 22 1/2” yataghan style blade equipped with single unstopped fullers. The flat-spined blade has toned to silver with scattered light oxidation and staining more so along the top edges of the fullers and the forte. The obverse ricasso has a partially obscured Alexander Coppel scale maker mark while the reverse ricasso is marked “EPCH” believed to be Egyptian Colonial Police markings in between “Z” in circle and Arabic markings. The crossguard has a dark brown-gray patina and is marked with what appears to be a small vertical “36” next to a much larger “3”. The ribbed brass grip has a worn tarnished patina and the steel scabbard has toned to gray with scattered light oxidation and staining.
