I always wanted a real old pirate flag so when I found one in a museum I made a copy of it. I hand sewed this based on one of the few surviving original 18th or 19th century flags used by real pirates. The skulls and bones are sewed onto both front and back, every stitch including the hem I sewed by hand with needle and thread, as the originals were. The hemp rope is spliced and wrapped in leather so you can easily fly it. The flag measures 48" x 32", very close to the size of the original. I hand painted the shadows in oil paint, too!
