The object is an Ancient Egyptian scene done in oil and ink on papyrus. Today, modern papyrus is used as a speciality writing material by artists and
calliigraphers. During the 20th century when more and more papyrus textiles came to light, scholars began to investigate how ancient papyrus manufacturing occurred. Papyrus is a reed which grows in the marshy areas, around the Nile River. Papyrus is still used by communities living in the vicinity of swamps. The art work is signed by the artist and the back of the papyrus is stamped "Made in Egypt". The colors of the drawing are: black, turquoise, red, tan and a gold color painted in such as way that simulates real gold (shading of the gold paint). Two of the gures are sitting on chairs that have paw feet - there is a cat beneath the outer chair. Two of the gures are standing; two of the gures are holding headdresses. The upper background of the drawing has hieroglyphics, the drawing is unframed and is wall art
