Hardest Lightest Finest Natural Hindostan Sharpening Honing Stone Antique:

This stone was *thoroughly* degreased and lapped. There is no oil or anything embedded in it. I went through half a dozen treatments of completely soaking it in degreaser and baking it out. The colors are completely natural. That\'s why it\'s surprising to me. I feel it is a Hindostan, probably transitioning into another sediment color or even type. It is very fine. Unlike Arkansas stones, which tend to be finer, the denser they get, I\'ve found Hindostans to be the opposite, they tend to be coarser the denser they are, it\'s a narrow range admittedly, but makes sense when you think of them as sedimentary stones, the lighter and finer particles settling out, etc.
