This is a nice copy of Harper's Weekly April 16, 1864. Conditions range from good to fair-see photos. Illustrations include The New York Fire Dept, centerfold of the Brooklyn Fair and a front cover print, attributed to Winslow Homer, "The Floral Dept of The Great Fair". Condition of the centerfold and interior prints are good to very good. There is a nice map of the Fair floorplan. The cover is a bit rough with a tear at the bottom. There is also other illustrations. Harper's Weekly was primarily a northern newspaper, heavily illustrated and reporting on both the political issues of the time as well as having advertising, household hints and fashions.
