Foryour consideration is this pair of decorativehandmade pottery HEDGEHOG HEADS. Theset includes one large and one small hedgehog head. Neither hedgehog head as an artist name,makers mark and/or brand. I purchasedthese pieces at a craft show in New Braunsfels, Texas back in the 1970’s.

Thesehedgehog heads are handmade out of kiln-fired clay and appear to have been handpainted pieces as well. The larger ofthe two hedgehog heads weighs approximately 7.0 ounces and measuresapproximately 3.0” long, 2.25” wide and 2.0” high. The smaller head weighs approximately 4.0ounces and measures approximately 2.50” long, 2.0” wide and 1.50” high. Please refer to description photos # 10 and #11 to confirm the size dimensions and for more details about what I havedescribed.

Thisset of vintage pottery hedgehog heads have been gently used as display piecesfor the past 40+ years. There is nodamage, cracks and/or repair to either piece as can be confirmed in thedescription photos. There are a fewwhite spots that can be seen on the surface of the hedgehog’s heads; thesespots are not chips or damage the spots are tiny paint splatters of whiteenamel that was used to fill in some of the crevices between the fur/hair lines. If you look closely at the description photosyou can see the white enamel in between some of the fur/hair lines. Please refer to the description photos toconfirm the condition of the hedgehog heads and for more details about what Ihave described.

Overall,each hedgehog head may have a few areas of minor surface blemishes from honestage and handling over the years but nothing that overly detracts from theesthetics of the pieces. Each headdisplays beautifully and will compliment your décor in any room and/orsetting.
