This is a Henry Disston and Sons New 16 Cross Cut Saw. It is filed cross cut with 8 points per inch (PPI). The applewood handle is beautiful with no damaged and perfect horns. The blade has bold and clear etch and an 8 stamped at the heel. The blade is straight and the nib is intact which can be seen in one of the pics.The blade had a small, half inch spot of pitting on the top which is shown on each side in two pics. I think it lay some where water dripped possible for quite a while. Ther is also a ding just above the tooth line which is also shown in one of the pics. I can feel it on one side but not so much on the other. I think something heavy fell on it. This is a great and uncommon saw. I have another Disston New 16 saw that is an 6 PPI rip.Happy to combine shipping.
