A LITTLE HISTORY:Hudson's Bay Wool Point Blankets were traded in British North America beginning in the mid-1700s, typically to First Nations in exchange for beaver pelts as an important part of the North American Fur Trade. The 'Points' are the short black lines woven into the edge of the blanket, just above the bottom set of stripes and represent the size of the blanket, not the value in terms of beaver pelts
