Twovintage items from England\'s Ind Coope Ltd brewery:

1961 Ind Coope Darts Championship half-pint pewter mug.Stamped on the base \"London Pride Pewter\" with the dome of St Paul\'sCathedral and serial number. This classic-style tankard stands 3¾\"tall and is3\" in diameter across the top.

Heavy metal IndCoope\"Long Life\" beer can opener. Measures 4¼\" x ¾\"; stamped withinstructions for use: \"Insert under can rim and leverupwards. Pierce two holes.Made in England.\"

Theoperation of a beer canopener may seem self-evident today, but theinstructions were likely quite useful at the time. Canned beer was notcommon inBritain 60-odd years ago, and Ind Coope\'s Long Life lager,introduced in 1956, was the only beer brewed specifically for canning.
