For Sale 100 % original Russian imperial Table Medal Place of minting: St. Petersburg Mint. Year of creation: 1869 Size: d = 71 mm Weight 154gr Table medal \"In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Order of the Holy Great Martyr and Victorious George\". \"For service and bravery.\" Beneath the portrait are laurel and oak branches tied with a ribbon. On the reverse side in the center there is an image of the Order of the Holy Great Martyr and the Victorious George on a ribbon, at the top there is a semicircular inscription: \"FOR SERVICE AND CHARITY\", below in a semicircle the inscription: \"1769 NOVEMBER 26, 1869\", on the right and left laurel and oak branches, fastened with a four-petal flower. The edge of the medal is smooth. Inscriptions, signatures: on the front side of the medalist\'s signature in the edge of the Emperor\'s left hand: \"V. Alekseev R.\" On the reverse side, the medalist\'s signature at the bottom of the circle: \"PM F\" (P. Meshcheryakov). Attribution: The Order of the Holy Great Martyr and Victorious George was established by Empress Catherine II on November 26 (December 7), 1769 to distinguish officers for services on the battlefield.
