Rakish cavalry officer’s cap a Hussar officer of Husaren-Regt.König Wilhelm I (1.Rheinisches) Nr.7.Wool body in “Russian blue,” a vibrant blue somewhere between the standard dark Prussian blue and the lighter cornflower blue of the Dragoons –the 7th was the only Hussar regiment to use this body color. Band in poppy red, with gold-yellow piping.Reichs and Prussian cockades with some age toning. Interior with a black cotton lining and leather sweatband that was probably repaired at some point.

Good colors, some moth tracking and a few nips to the top, otherwise no other visible holes. A stylish cavalry cap for a scarce regiment that displays well.Getting harder to find these in this market.
