Merck.Measures 4 ½” and is hand-signed by the artist E, M. Merck herself!Molded into the back of the ornament is the commemorative year 1997. It was available only at special Old World Christmas Events during the 1997 Holiday Season. It is a limited edition piece and only 15,000 pieces were created.His basket brimming with holiday treasures and a lantern to brighten the way, this jolly Santa is ready for his Christmas Eve deliveries. His long red coat, trimmed with sparkling gold glitter, will tame the evening’s chill and his cheery smile will warm hearts at every stop along the way.Made in Germany for Old World Christmas by the skilled artisans of Inge-Glas, this festive glass collectible was carefully mouth blown, one at a time, into a finely crafted porcelain mold. It was hand-painted with brightly colored lacquers. After the ornament stem is snipped, the trademark Star Cap is attached…an heirloom is born! It took approximately seven days to create each of these magnificent ornaments. Long retired, special event piece.
