These little coins, about the size of a nickel, illustrate the famous Bible \"Widow\'s Mite\" coin.
Luke and Mark record how Jesus considered the small donation to the Treasury, a Widow who gave two Mites, as more valuable than the few riches that wealthy people contributed when they could have given more. But the Widow gave all she had.
These coins are reproduction coins of the Antique Bronze Widow\'s Mite as used during Bible times and during Jesus\' life, in the area of Jerusalem, Sea of Galilee. These coins are a Zinc Alloy made to look like Antique Bronze, and they really are nice reproductions.
