We are selling these items on behalf of a local Philly woman whose grandmother worked as an \"Office Girl\" a secretary at the John Wanamaker Store in Philadelphia between 1947 -1957.
1) John Wanamaker Office Telephone-The back-story is that sometime in the early 1950s Wanamaker\'s was updating their phone system and the secretary wanted to keep her old office phone. Not sure if she wanted it as a souvenir or wanted another phone in her house?It is a Kellogg phone, made in USA and made of Bakelite, has a stylish red strip across the top and a white button, nor sure if that was a \"hold button\"has been stored in a box for years. At the center of the dial is the original label \"K\" for Kellogg with a hand written # 20. Perhaps her desk or department was #20? It is being sold as a historical decorative item, not a working phone, there is no cord that would plug into a phone jack. Although there are people who restore these to working condition. There is a small chip on the bottom of the front right foot. Has original coiled cord in good condition. Rare item indeed would display well in your home of office.
2) Sales Tag 1890s...Insecretary\'s collection she had a sales tag, with decorative floral border... another Philly collector told me that this tag is actually from the 1890s. The item for sale was a \"BED\" price was $34.50 at the bottom it says \"Chestnut\" in very good condition. Therefore, this tag is very rare find..
3)Wanamaker Eagle,a vintage (1950s?) black and white vintage postcard of the Wanamaker Eagle (meet you at the eagle)
