Notes:This rare image came from a large group of Abilene, Kansas stereoviews. Thephotos in the grouphave been dated to the late 1880s and early 1890s. The photographer is unknown. The quality of the imagery suggests it may be the work of famous Colorado photographer Wellington O. Luke, who was listed in Abilene during the early 1890s. They could also be by a man named Forney whose studio at 3rd and Broadway wasactive in Abilene during the 1880s.
