✅About Korean Najeon Lacquer ware

Najeon lacquerware refers to objects in which the shells of specific shellfish such as luminous shells and abalone shells are cut, shaped, attached, and lacquered. Usually, wood products are decorated and lacquered, but metal products are sometimes decorated. It was produced in Korea, China, and Japan, and is commonly called Najeon. In the name "Najeon Chilgi", the word "la" means Sora, and the word "jeon" means "decorating". In sum, it means 'a device decorated with a shell and lacquered with lacquer." It seems that the shellfish used in the lacquerware technique is expressed by wrapping them with conch.
Here, the shell used for decoration glitters brilliantly because of its pearl-like ingredients on the inside, and the act of decorating the shell pieces used for crafts is called "jagae" in pure Korean, and the act of decorating the shell on the surface of objects is called "jagaegi." Lacquerware is also called 'jagae craft'.
