This is in Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Crazing. Very Nice Kutani Japanese Porcelain Figurine. This is a handmade fine porcelain Japanese Kutani Moriage Figurine of Daikokuten which is one of the Japanese Seven Gods of Luck called the Shichi-fuku-jin. He is representing the wealth of the land and is therefore the god of the farmers. He wears hood, holding a Kozuchi; (a carrying bag) on his right hand and sitting on rice bales the symbol of Daikoku. When shaken by the god, this bag is supposed to grant all wishes. The figure is gilded and hand painted in a stunning Moriage style where colorful enamel designs are applied in a way that creates a raised effect with gold accents. The base is marked with Kutani 九谷 on the bottom.

Kutani ware is a style of Japanese porcelain that originated in Kutani (present day Kaga, Ishikawa), Japan during the Edo period. Traditionally, it refers to a porcelain that is heavily decorate with overglazed enamel.

This measures 5 5/8" High x 3 1/4" Wide At the Widest Point. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this figurine. (The pictures are of the exact piece you will receive). Photography Props & photo stands are not included.
