They are also known as Russian boxes. Although this does not always mean that they are made only there. Ukraine also has many artists who paint in such styles at a high level. I offer to your attention a box made in Ukraine and style. In the painting, the artist vividly depicted the celebration of Christmas. You can see a snow-covered street with houses and people celebrating Christmas, children making a snowman, people just chatting and riding in horse-drawn sleighs. The drawing is made in the style of the 19th century. The box is made of papier mache and has a rectangular shape. It has 4 legs from below. The drawing is made in the Fedoschino technique, one of the styles of lacquer miniatures, very thin and professional, the composition is thought out to the smallest detail, the drawing and sides are framed with a thin gold ornament. The inside of the lid of the box is painted red, and the bottom is decorated with red velvet. At the final stage, the box is completely polished to a mirror shine. This box was made in 2022 in Ukraine.
