Large Antique Victorian White Ironstone Water Pitcher Marked Etruria-Mellor & Co:

Pennsylvania Dutch farming communities

nestled among the rolling hills of

Lancaster County Pennsylvania

Offered for sale:

A Beautiful Antique Etruria-Mellor & Co. Ironstone Pitcher.

It is milky white with gold trim and raised areas of foliage.

The Etruria-Mellor Company was part of the Cook Pottery Co of Trenton NJ

and was in business from 1894-1929.

Approximate measurements:

11 and 3/4 inches in height to the top of its handle

10 and 1/12 inches across the handle to the end of the spout

8 and 1/4 inch diameter at its widest point

5 and 1/4 inch base diameter

In a good sturdy box with padded packing material,

it weighs in at 6 pounds 8 ounces.

I have priced it very reasonably,

since the shipping cost is

unavoidably high :(

It looks gorgeous on an antique wash stand

and makes a stunning vase.

The pitcher is in overall good condition for its age,

with some wear to its gold trim.

It also has the characteristic crazing,

so typical of antique pieces of this age and use,

a bit of discoloration here and there,

as well as small manufacturing defects.

It does not have any chips, cracks or repairs.

In order to get good pictures of the crazing,

I needed to take the photographs under a bright light

-- it is hard to see the crazing otherwise.

Please review all the photographs carefully,

as they really are the best description,

to determine if this wonderful antique pitcher

may come to grace a corner in your home.
