Locre La Courtille Hand Painted Landscape Scene Coffee Can & Saucer 1773-1824 CNice porcelain coffee can and saucer. The cup is decorated with a hand painted scene ofa man with a hunting rife, trees, buildings, and birds framed in gold gilding. With gold gilding along the rim. The saucer has a hand painted scene of a castle and trees framed in gold gilding. Marked on the bottom with a blue crossed arrow / torch mark used by Jean-Baptiste Locre near Paris at La Courtille, France. Circa 1773 to 1824.Has some wear to the gilding, and a tight crack extending off the lip through the scene. No additional chips or cracks.The cup measures approximately 3 3/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 3/8 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 3/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.HT
