These are two beautiful prints.
I believe these are straight from Japan or from Marshall Fields.
They look like they were sold as cards, or the lithographs themselves were made into a card.
In each one they describe being in Japan and coming back to the States. The time frames make sense right after WW2.
The one painting isTravelersin the Snow at Oi - Utagawa Hiroshige the other I\'m not sure but from research it may be from a 4 piece set from Marshall Fields.
These have some discoloration and some wrinkles. The lithographs as pictured are in pretty good condition. You can see some bends because they were in a shoebox with greeting cards probably for 50 years.
Overall these are one of a kind. They have character a story. Read the writings looks like soldier and family writingback to each other in the early 1950s.
