Lot of 2 two beautiful matching Post Medieval glazed terracotta floor tiles of lions rampant from Flanders. Slip glazed yellow design on terracotta. Unmarked. Most likely made in the 17th or 18th century in Flanders (present-day Belgium).

I found these tiles in Ghent, Belgium.

Tiles measure about 5.5 x 5.5 x 1/2 inches. Each tile is a slightly different size. Tiles each weigh about 1 lb 1 oz.

In good condition. Glaze has some crazing but is firmly intact. There are few chips in the clay on the edges, including one large one at the top of one tile, about 2 inches wide. See images for details.
