Listed is a lot of 2 splendid museum grade, undamaged, 100% natural moldavite specimens! These pieces have beautiful rich grass-green color and translucence. Originating from the Chlum on Malsi River, Moldavite is a unique Czech semi-precious stone found almost exclusively in Czechia. Moldavite is a special term coming from German and means \"Vltava River Stone\". Moldau is the German name for the Czech river Vltava.
Moldavites are green silicate natural glasses. They were formed during an impact of a large asteroid in the Ries impact crater area in today\'s German state of Bavaria 15 million years ago. When the asteroid hit the earth, it melted the surface rocks which were then ejected into the atmosphere and scattered over a large area in today\'s Bohemia.
