Sweet little 6" hand painted porcelain plate produced in Austria by M.Z. company. The plate features an antique floral design in the center and around the edges. It features both a scalloped and embossed rim or edge. It is marked on the back: M.Z. Austria (from Google:Moritz Zdekauer purchased the company in 1884, and its porcelain pieces were marked “MZ Austria” until 1909, when C.M. Hutschenreuther of Hohenberg, Bavaria, Germany, took over the firm. Hutschenreuther renamed it Altrohlau Porcelain Factory and marked its wares “MZ Altrohlau” between 1909 and 1945.). Knowing this, this plate may be classified as antique as it was produced under M.Z. Austria who produced porcelain under this name until 1909.
