Original metal plate used by New York Times June 10, 1992 for the Obituary of Bill Gaines, creator of Mad Magazine.

I obtained this from a patient of mine, who worked for The New York Times in the early 1990\'s.

So why is the press plate not reversed? Well, it\'s true that when transferring the ink to the paper the image has to be reversed so it prints properly, but the image is reversed when the plate transfers the ink to the offset cylinder

Any glares or marks that appear on the picture are on the UV protective cover or from the sun shining in all parts of the house as I took the pictures.  The plate appears in near perfect condition

           (I will pay the insurance and postage to mail it by UPS or Fed Ex and send you the tracking number.)
