Grade VG 4.0 Year 1965 Publisher Marvel

This is a low grade item. It will be complete and readable, but will show significant wear. Allowed defects for this grade include: spine roll, a moderate amount of staining or water damage, writing or other marks on the cover, up to one inch spine splits or other tears, a cover or centerfold that is detached at one staple, discoloration due to oxidation, and a minor piece or pieces missing. An item could be assigned this grade due to either an accumulation of minor/moderate defects or one or two major defects.

Reprints: X-Men 1, Avengers 1, Strange Tales 115 (Doctor Strange origin), and Hulk 3; Jack Kirby and 72-page giant. All reprints. "X-Men" (script by Stan Lee, pencils by Jack Kirby, inks by Paul Reinman from Uncanny X-Men 1); the Hulk stars in "The Ringmaster" (scripts by Lee, pencils by Kirby, inks by Dick Ayers from Hulk 3); "The Origin of Dr. Strange" (script by Lee, art by Steve Ditko from Strange Tales 115); "The Coming of the Avengers" (script by Lee, pencils by Kirby, inks by Ayers from Avengers 1); and a monster story, "A Monster Among Us" (script by Lee, art by Ditko from Amazing Adult Fantasy 8).
