This sale if for the Memories of Santa Trade Card Collection Series One (26 cards), a document signed by Don Warning and a collectible Pewter Box to store it all safely. Also includes a bonus duplicate card.
This collection of Memories of Santa trade cards are prints made from the original paintings of twenty-five Santas from the Memories of Santa Earthenware Collection. The Santa shown on each card in this collection was inspired by antique post cards, chromolithographs, books, periodicals or other ephemera, as well as antique chocolate molds and historical descriptive literature.
These cards are exactly the same size as the antique trade cards that flourished in England from the late 1800s through the early 1900s and they bear similar printing on the reverse side. Read more about these cards on the document signed by Don Warning included with the sale.
Each card is approximately 2-3/4\" x 1-1/2\" and has been slid into an individual pocket of a 5-card protective sleeve.The signed document is printed on an 8-1/2\" x 11\" piece of paper and gives the history and other information behind the card series.The collectible pewter tin is approximately 9-1/2\" in length x 4\" wide x 1-1/2\" tall. There is a raised Santa impression on the lid adding weight to the box. There is a duplicate Card #15 added for free as a bonus.
The cards are in excellent condition. The document shows signs of age and storage The collectible pewter tin has a few dings and marks from age and storage. Please view the photos for a good look at this collection.
