1962 Evelyn Ackerman \"Garden\" hand hooked wall hanging.
These photos were taken indoor, in the middle of the morning, on a bright sunny day, near a window. NO filters have been applied. Some colors may appear a different shade at certain angles however, the first photo shows the closest \"true to color.\"
There is minimal tufting on the entire area of the wall hanging. An example can be seen in the 4th and 5th photo as well as the 9th photo on the face. Upon close inspection, you will also see fibers of the wool that stick out like little hairs.
In the 12th photo, when the wool on the tree is pushed down, you can see there are actually two colors on the inside, as opposed to one.
There is some stiffness and the common \"vintage\" or \"mid century\" odor associated with its age.
On the back, the canvas has a hard brown rectangular spot. I am assuming this is where the label was placed (glued)? The canvas does have speckles of brown spots (age spots) throughout, varying in size and color.
