Le Creuset DOES make eggplant shaped cocottes but this this cocotte has a knob which makes me doubt it is a real Le Creuset. Nevertheless it is very cute and for lovers of all things eggplant it is a must have. The cast iron and enamal are both in perfect condition. I think it is probably best used as a condiment dish or as a display item on the shelf. 6.5\"x2.5\"
I am unable to find a match out there so I can not exclude nor say it is Le Creuset, only that it has all the earmarks of Le Creuset and also the weight, but my instinct says it is not. It is still a very cute piece.
