These beautiful canister jars in the Colonial Blue color were made between 1968-1983. It\'s a popular color! This is the medium size jar from the set of four graduated sizes. It is 9 1/2 inches tall with the lid on, and 5 1/2 inches wide. The pattern is named Moon and Star, (not plural), and consists of elongated thumbprint shapes with round \"moon\" shapes below them, and a \"star\" or flower shape in the middle of the moon. It was called the 3 1/2 pound jar by the manufacturer. It weighs 3 pounds 10.8 ounces before packing for shipping.The jar is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. The lid, as typically happens, has two wide chips on the bottom edge of the lid. One spans 1 1/4 inches in length, with 3/8\" of that length being the width of the edge of the glass and the rest less. The other chip is 1 inch long, with just a bit over 1/2 inch being as wide as the edge of the glass. These chips are just barely visible when the lid is on the jar, and they don\'t interfere with normal use of the canister.
