mid-1950s, GE built ten of these twin-cab electrics for
the New Haven RR outfitted with both pantographs and
3rd rail pick-up shoes to allow for running through tunnels
into Grand Central Terminal in NYC. Andy painted this
sterling art to satisfy fans of this iconic electric – one so
popular that Lionel issued a very snappy O gauge model
in this paint job shortly after it appeared on the New Hav-
en. The Jets were eventually repainted in somber PC
black after that merger, but unfortunately never got to
