Fair (1.0). Mild spine stress, mild edgewear, ownership rubberstamp below logo (\"ELLIOTT STEWART\"), edge foxing and tears up to ½\" to covers, top right corner of front cover clipped, small stain to bottom right corner of front cover, fingermarks and 2\" soil spot to back cover, top right corner area of all pages soiled, some tears to pages (the largest being 3\"), a large piece of the second-to-last page is neatly trimmed out (it was designed to be cut out for kids to make some sort of movie clips). Contains 36 pages (including the partially-trimmed page). It is a beautiful copy of an historic book that would have graded significantly higher were it not for the piece cut out.

I had the #1 registry collection of New Fun/More Fun Comics for many years. I can state with conviction that #3 was the hardest of the issues to find from the New Fun series. Gerber rates it an \"8\" or \"rare\". In the nearly fifteen years that I was working on the set, I came across two copies and I bought one of them (although it is possible that it was actually the same one that I saw over a period of years!). Heritage has sold only three copies in over 20 years: 2002, 2006 and 2020. They explained why this issue might be rarest of the six New Fun books: \"We\'re told that in the earliest days DC would lower the print run for each issue after #1, awaiting sales numbers, and would then either increase the print run with issue #4 or phase out the title. That would help explain why this very collectible third issue is so hard to find!\"

If you want a copy for your collection, I strongly advise never to pass up an opportunity to buy one! Good luck finding another!

If you search for \"New Fun Comics\", as of today\'s date (May 20, 2024), there is a #1 offered for sale at $100,000. That certainly makes this #3 quite the steal!!!
