Nice Scarce Deep Aqua Vaughn's Vegetable Mixture Buffalo NY Pontil Bottle:

Here we have a great medicine bottle from the 1850s. This bottle features a square body, arched shoulders, an applied tapered top, and a killer iron pontil scarred base. The glass is a deep aquamarine coloration that is very thick and heavy. This example is embossed "Vaughn's / Vegetable Lithontriptic Mixture / Buffalo". Pontiled examples are quite tough to find compared to the more commonly seen smooth bases. This bottle stands 8 1/4" tall and is in excellent condition without any chips, cracks, pot stone issues, exterior bubble bursts, bruises, staining, heavy wear, etc. Just a couple of very shallow, small thin interior open bubbles mentioned for complete accuracy (none of the long swirling bubbles in the neck / shoulder are open). A great early medicine in excellent condition! If anyone has any questions, please ask.
